So you sold your business. What do you do now?

For me it was about a year of lounging around— pool days, video games, reading, catching up on TV & films… but that eventually got boring. So I had to do something else. Enter Tom Medlicott: accomplished stained glass window artist for over 50 years. My mom kept telling me, “Go learn how to make stained glass windows from Tom!” “Get off your butt and go learn a new art form, you can’t sit around playing video games forever.” Eventually I agreed that I should probably stop being a bump on the log… or a sea lion on a lounge chair.

So I sent him a text message and the next day I was at his house learning how to make stained glass! Luckily he only lives about 10 minutes from my parents house so I was able to cruise down in the mornings, grab a cup of cold brew from Landmark Coffee (best in Redlands!) and head to his studio to learn from the legend.
